Magic Mansion Concerts on the Porch
About our Concerts & Venue:It started in 2010 when a few folks in the neighborhood who happened to be musicians got together and played for other folks and friends in the neighborhood. Back then, we all fit on the porch. Word got out, and now the porch is the stage and the lawn fills up with several hundred people. It's a listening environment like Jazz In The Park, only at a private residence that is a beautifully restored old Victorian mansion. The talent is carefully curated and includes top notch nationally touring artists.
Listening Room Network promotes venues that offer an attentive audience and a living wage for artists. All events are independently run. LRN is simply a promotional and connecting resource. Please help us spread the word.

Because there seemed to be so much interest in great live, original music, I asked Mayor Bob Magnus if he would like me to put together a concert series for the city. He and his wife Gina jumped at the chance and we started doing the Twilight Concerts at Fowler Park in 2021.

Additionally, the staff was unhelpful and unfriendly, which made our stay even more unpleasant. They seemed disinterested and were not accommodating to our needs. The breakfast provided was also subpar, with limited options and lackluster quality. Overall, I would not recommend staying at the Magic Mansion as it did not live up to its advertised charm and failed to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
2. Mark - 2/5 - The Magic Mansion in Oconomowoc was a letdown. While the exterior and the grounds were nice, the interior of the mansion was not well-maintained. The room we stayed in had a funky odor, and the bathroom tiles were cracked. The hot water in the shower also took a while to heat up.
In terms of service, the staff seemed overwhelmed and understaffed. They weren't able to provide timely assistance or address our concerns. Breakfast was mediocre, with limited options and poorly prepared food. Overall, our experience at the Magic Mansion was disappointing. I would suggest looking for alternative accommodations in the area if you're after a pleasant stay.
