cheaply build accommodation - over priced daily resort fee - little ammenities

We own a 2800 sq.ft villa in Hawaii that we use and rent out, but not through third home. It is very well stocked with quality items: salt, pepper, oils & vinegar, bbq seasoning, baggies, tupperware, cooler bags, ice packs, grocery bags, 1L size shampoo, conditioner, body wash, 3 ply toilet paper. We are a fraction owner in The Residence Club PGA West, that we use and rent out through Third Home Exchange. Its 3 bedrooms 3600 sq.feet. plunge pool in our yard, pool club and good work out facility, weekend continental breakfasts, water, lemonade, apples and oranges available all day long. The Magic Village Resort was a very cheaply built. We heard the neighbours next door every night walking in their upper hallway. 1 ply toilet paper. no basic food supplies in the kitchen: no salt or pepper, baggies, Tupperware, oils etc. We were charged $60 per night resort fee. It was outrageous for what the resort offered: a pool and hot tub and a small gym with broken equipment that was filthy. Check-in staff friendly. Don't waste your money on this accommodation. ”

Good location around Disney

Great location but house lacked a little luster with cheap appliances. One Pool, but nothing else on property to warrant the per day resort fee.”

Magic Village

When we go to Disney, we stay at Magic Village. The villa is spacious and clean. The furnishings were sparse, but ok. The pool is nice and the staff was helpful. ”

The Mouse Approved

Nicely furnished and stocked newer townhome had a lovely community pool and clubhouse. The cousins really enjoyed their stay here. Only about 10-20 minutes from the various theme parks and loads of restaurants nearby. Car is essential! ”

Clean, convenient

Nice and clean resort. Very good management - grocery service and room service on time. Not far with Uber to all kingdoms. Great place to lay your head at night after a day at the parks.”

Decent place if you know what to expect

It was a decent place to stay. It is deceiving, since they charge you $500 in addition to the ThirdHome fees so its about $900 to stay the week. Place was clean, but they nickel and dime you for everything. Want toilet paper/soap for the dishwasher?? They will charge you for it. If you want to do laundry, bring your own detergent since there is nothing there. Fortunately, I had a car, so we had to make a trip to the local supermarket for every supply we needed. Its about a 7 minute drive to Animal Kingdom, and near to some of local places to eat. ”

Pleasant Stay

A good value for the number of keys required. Quality of construction and fit and finishes are not the best, but we were not expecting a high end resort so it suited us just fine. They provide complimentary starter packs of supplies, such as toiletries, TP, paper towel, etc. but charge for additional supplies if you run out. The pool area and clubhouse are very nice. Close proximity and convenient to Disney and other Orlando attractions. ”

Very nice unit!

I am giving this property 3 stars as the resort staff was very unfriendly, not accommodating and in some cases downright rude. The pool/hot tub closed at dusk. the restaurant on site is open limited days and does not offer breakfast or a lunch menu. They allow you to order from the dinner menu mid day which does not fit for most. The resort charges you a 60.00 per day fee, which given the limitations was a bit frustrating. The unit itself was very nice and well stocked on the inside. It does back to a busy road so anticipate some road noise in the bad facing bedrooms. Main floor master with a king, three bedrooms upstairs ( layout was king in one room and the others had two twins). Each bedroom has its own dedicated bathroom, only one small bathtub within the unit. For one key this property is worth the money, it simply had a few pain points during the visit. ”

Great space to come home to after a full day at amusement parks

Magic Village villas are new, spacious, very comfortable, nicely decorated, and offer very helpful staff. We loved having so much comfortable space to come home to after a long day at the amusement parks. We would definitely come back. ”

Brand new, great location close to Disney

Really enjoyed our stay at Magic Village. Great example of how good a 1 Key property can be. The 4 bed townhouse was immaculate. Very clean, everything worked, stylishly laid out and only a few minutes to Disney. There is construction going on in the complex still but it's on the other side and we never noticed it at all. ”

Magic it is.

We just returned from Magic Village and has the time of our lives! We were welcomed by Melissa and instantly felt right at home. The new resort is spectacular, with modern finishes and furnishings. The club house reception and pool are off the charts! We appreciate the gated entry and ample parking. Our 4 bedroom townhome was gorgeous with tons of room and privacy for all members of our group. We had several meals together and the giant modern kitchen was a pleasure to cook in. The open floor plan allowed the kids to play in the great room and watch the large flat screen, while the adults were in the same area cooking and relaxing around the bar. Perfect, absolutely perfect. Magic Village is conveniently located near several parks, shopping and sporting options. We loved to be able to come back to our townhome to nap mid day with the kids and quickly return to our adventures for the day. The staff at the resort are all very friendly and professional, offering assistance 24 hours a day. We felt very comfortable, safe and cared for each and every day. We were in the area just after Christmas/New Years, a slower time of year for the area, which was fantastic! We had the pool/hot tub to ourselves, fantastic service at the restaurant and a relaxed visit as a whole. There were a few other families staying on the property and our kids were thrilled to play with them in the kid's room just off from the reception area. We had several dinners in the new restaurant, all were outstanding. Magic Village has a multi phase building plan with the first phase completed. The additional phases are underway and did not effect our visit our experience. This is a fabulous property to visit and we can't thank the Magic Team enough for their kindness and hospitality during our visit. We will be back, counting down the days until we can return to a quality luxury experience.”

Not up to 3rd Home standards.

We just returned from Magic Village resort and I honestly have to say it does not even come close to the quality and standards we have always experienced with our other wonderful 3rd Home vacations. The employees at the resort were extremely cordial; but very poorly trained and could answer very few of our vacation questions that they definitely should have known. For example, where the nearest grocery store was located or what the daily parking rate was at Magic Kingdom. We would not recommend this resort. Roxanne Barnes and Dr. Mark Windt”

Location! Location! Location! Awesome for Disney World trip!

We just returned from Magic Village. It is a brand new complex and the complex is still in the construction phase. While we were there they opened the “game room”. I understand the restaurant will open in November and construction should be complete by December. First and foremost we were very happy with our accommodations!! We had a 4 bedroom 4½-bath townhouse with all the amenities for a perfect Disneyworld adventure. There was more than ample space for our family of six. The floor plans and bed arrangements where perfect for travel with our family. Everything was new and of high quality. Location! Location! Location!… we could not have asked for a better property location off property. Magic World is adjacent to (on the opposite side of the street) to Disneyworld property (closest to Animal Kingdom). It was really easy to make a 2-hour midday stop at Blizzard Beach for some water park fun. Although they offer shuttle service, we drove everywhere. It was 5-15 minutes depending on which park we visited. We were close enough to come back and take a break by the pool every midday. The location allowed us to break up days and have some relaxing time. Finally, the staff was first class. Before we arrived we had them stock our unit with snacks and breakfast. They were spot on. Check-in and check-out were seamless. When my 6 year-old ran through the screen door to our patio they were there in 5 minutes to put it back on track. I would recommend the Magic Village highly to anyone who is thinking about doing Disneyworld and wants to avoid the chaos of a larger hotel at the “happiest place on earth.” Thanks again Magic Village, especially Carlos and Jose, who made this trip for my family one they will not forget! ”

1. Jake - 2 stars
I was highly disappointed with my experience at Magic Village Yards in Orlando. The overall service was lackluster, and it seemed like the staff couldn't be bothered to cater to our needs. The cleanliness of the villas was questionable, with stains on the carpets and unclean bathrooms. Additionally, the amenities advertised were either outdated or not available during our stay. It was a letdown considering the high expectations I had for this place.
2. Sarah - 1 star
I regret booking a stay at Magic Village Yards in Orlando. The resort was not as advertised - the photos online were misleading. The villa we were assigned was in dire need of renovations and updates. The furniture was worn out, the kitchen appliances were outdated, and the overall ambiance was shabby. The pool area was overcrowded, and it felt more like a public pool rather than a luxury resort. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing vacation.
3. Mark - 2 stars
Our stay at Magic Village Yards in Orlando turned out to be quite disappointing. The check-in process was slow, and the staff seemed disorganized. The villa we were allocated had maintenance issues, such as faulty air conditioning and leaky faucets. Despite reporting the problems, they were not promptly addressed, making our stay quite uncomfortable. The location also did not live up to its promise of being close to the theme parks, as we ended up having to drive longer than expected. I will not be returning to this resort in the future.
