Pastel Witch: A Perfect Blend of Softness and Magic

By admin

The pastel witch aesthetic is a style that combines elements of witchcraft and a soft, whimsical color palette. It is a trend that has gained popularity in recent years, particularly on social media platforms like Pinterest and Instagram. The color palette associated with the pastel witch aesthetic usually includes soft shades of pink, lavender, mint green, and baby blue. These light, delicate colors help to create a dreamy and ethereal atmosphere. Pastel witch imagery often includes elements such as crystals, tarot cards, candles, and dried flowers, which further enhance the mystical and magical feel. One of the key elements of the pastel witch aesthetic is the integration of witchcraft symbols and practices.

In this latest episode of Exploring Aesthetic, I take a look at Academia; an aesthetic all about books, school, and learning. Whether light or dark, let’s talk about what makes up the Academia aesthetic and how it looks through the lens of aesthetic/genre/lifestyle/subculture.

One of the key elements of the pastel witch aesthetic is the integration of witchcraft symbols and practices. This can include incorporating witchcraft tools such as cauldrons, athames, and spell books into decor, as well as incorporating spells and rituals into daily life. The aesthetic often embraces concepts such as intuition, nature connection, and personal empowerment.

My Aesthetic Inspirations: Practical Magic

In Aesthetic Magick, the core idea is to develop an aesthetic to empower your magick. I thought I would explore some of my own aesthetic influences to help show how one develops their own personal aesthetic. While they are varied and not all of them a directly related to witchcraft, I thought I start off with one that is.

Being in a witch in the 90′s meant there were two unavoidable movies that everyone (witch or not) would bring up: The Craft and Practical Magic. Every witch and pagan I knew had a “STRONG” opinion on these two movies. Either you really enjoyed them, thought they helped normalize witches or you hated them, thought they trivialized our beliefs. (And to be fair there were people who loved one and hated the other for those reasons).

However, even if they didn’t love the movie’s story, most witches could appreciate Practical Magic’s witchy aesthetic. After all, most of us would love to live in a large Victorian house, complete with robust garden, conservatory, herb preparation room, beautiful seaside views, and just a sprinkling of spooky.

The pastel witch aesthetic is not limited to decor and imagery; it also extends to fashion and clothing choices. Many people who embrace this aesthetic opt for soft, flowing garments in pastel tones. Lace, embroidery, and florals are also popular elements used in clothing. Accessories such as crystal pendants, charm bracelets, and moon-themed jewelry are often chosen to complete the look. Another aspect of the pastel witch aesthetic is the focus on self-care and spirituality. Many practitioners of the aesthetic prioritize practices such as meditation, journaling, and tarot reading. The aesthetic encourages a connection with nature and the recognition of the inherent magic in everyday life. Overall, the pastel witch aesthetic is a visual and spiritual trend that combines witchcraft, soft colors, and a dreamy atmosphere. It offers a creative and whimsical approach to incorporating witchcraft into daily life, allowing individuals to express their spirituality and personal style in a unique and enchanting way..

Reviews for "How to Create a Pastel Witch Aesthetic Altar"

1. John - 2/5 stars - The pastel witch aesthetic just didn't resonate with me. I found it too soft and cutesy, lacking the mysterious and powerful elements often associated with witchcraft. The light colors and whimsical design felt more fitting for a children's fairytale than a portrayal of witches. I would have preferred a darker and more intense aesthetic that captures the essence of magic and spells.
2. Sarah - 1/5 stars - I was highly disappointed by the pastel witch aesthetic. It completely disregards the dark and mysterious nature of witchcraft. The gentle colors and fluffy textures make it look more like a unicorn-themed party rather than something associated with witchcraft. I was hoping for something edgier and macabre that captures the essence of witches in a more authentic way.
3. Mark - 2/5 stars - The pastel witch aesthetic just doesn't feel genuine to me. Witchcraft has always been associated with darkness, power, and mystery. The use of feminine and soft pastel colors feels disingenuous and dilutes the essence of witchcraft. I would have preferred a bolder and more intense aesthetic that captures the mystical and ominous nature that witchcraft evokes. The pastel witch aesthetic feels like a watered-down, commercialized version of something that should be much more potent and enticing.
4. Emily - 3/5 stars - While I appreciate the attempt to create a unique aesthetic with the pastel witch theme, it fell short for me. The soft and delicate colors clashed with my own perception of witches as powerful and enigmatic beings. I would have preferred a more balanced approach, incorporating pastels with deeper hues to create a more well-rounded aesthetic. The pastel witch aesthetic may appeal to some, but it doesn't capture the true essence of what I envision when I think of witches.
