By admin

August is a month that holds significance for pagan feasts and celebrations. Paganism is a term that encompasses a wide range of spiritual and religious beliefs that do not adhere to the mainstream religions. Many pagan traditions still exist today and are practiced by individuals and groups worldwide. One of the most prominent pagan feasts in August is Lammas, also known as Lughnasadh. Lammas is a celebration of the first harvest and marks the beginning of the harvest season. It is usually held on August 1st or 2nd in the northern hemisphere.

It is usually held on August 1st or 2nd in the northern hemisphere. The feast is named after "Loaf-Mass," where freshly baked bread made from the first wheat of the season is offered to the gods and shared among the community. Lammas is a time to give thanks for the abundance of the Earth and to honor the deities associated with agriculture and fertility.

Daily pass More Like $$$ Leeching Pass

Daily Pass is disgusting. Webtoon made itself distinguished among other manwha websites for one reason; its free. The daily pass ruins that whole concept and makes rereading your fav series almost impossible. Now Ongoing series are a better choice to read; then completed ones for binge reading.

What is a daily pass?

A daily pass is a way for Completed Webtoons to earn more money through a system similar to a fast pass.

How it works is the completed Webtoon would have a free initial ep that are generally 11 or 16 that does not expire. What that means is it doesn't have a time limit to them; and you are free to read them as long as you want.

After the initial "free" episodes we get into the "paid" episodes territory or the Daily pass or Pay with coins.

Every day you get one daily pass; you can buy one episode everyday to read them. So everyday a free episode is available to you; and in a way you have your own ongoing webtoon series.

Of course you'll run out of the daily; leaving you hungry for more so you buy the episodes with coins.

The concept sounds really nice on paper and it really is; "Helping creators who completed their series; find more revenue in a way to support them."

The real problem isen't the Daily Pass but the People in Webtoon finding every single way to exploit it to leech as much money from you.

Problem #1 Completed Webtoons take way too long to read with the daily pass.

It's common for any completed webtoon to have more than 200+ episodes; so what happens when in the daily pass Episodes equate to days?

Answer: it takes way too long to read to the point its not worth your time and effort.

For example Nobless has 523 episodes that can be unlocked with daily pass; which would take 500+ days to read. Or in simpler terms 1 and a half year to read.

And episodes that are even over 200 frickes you over; forcing you to read each episode a day over the course of half a year or you can read like 50 episodes a day with ongoing series that have alot of episodes.

This forces you to buy the episodes or else your birthday would pass before even finishing one completed webtoon.

Problem #2 The Two Week Time Crunch

With the episodes bought with coins you are free to view them as much as you like.

However, if you use the daily pass each episode you buy with one pass has a lifespan of 2 weeks until its unviewable.

To put that into perspective each time you buy an episode with daily pass; you better memorize the whole damn thing in two weeks b/c if you forget any of the events that happened in one episode out of 500; you can't reread to find out what happened.

The two week lifespan on episodes kills the completed webtoons as ongoing ones have episodes that you are free to reread as much as you would like.

It defeats the whole purpose of daily pass b/c the episode is gonna be gone anyways; and you probably won't remember it; b/c you're reading at a pace of a snail; out of 200 of episodes.

This forces you to buy the Completed episodes; unless you only want to remember half the plot of the webtoon b/c on the 6th month of reading you forgot what happened on the third month.

Problem #3 Disgusting Cost For Completed webtoon

its Ez to calculate the total amount of money to buy the whole completed webtoon you love.

Just take the Total amount of episodes and multiply it by thirty percent b/c the 3 coins needed to get one episode is 0.3 dollar or 3 cents. So;

[(Total episodes) - (some free ep)] = "Paid" episodes or episodes that needs $$$

"Paid episodes" X 0.3 =

US Dollors needed for the coins to buy the whole thing.

But the thing is "Completed Webtoons" usually won't have only 100 episodes. In fact popular ones; the ones you like will have 200 ~ 500 episodes and it won't be uncommon if the completed webtoon have over 300 episodes.

So a rare case scenario:

100 episodes with initial 20 "free" ep

80 "paid" episodes X 0.3 = $24 to buy whole webtoon

More common case scenario

250 episodes with initial 20 "free" ep

230 "paid" episodes X 0.3 = $69 (lmao) to buy whole thing

Common case scenario

300 episodes with initial 20 "free" episodes

280 "paid" episodes X 0.3 = $84 (wow getting rlly expensive) to buy the whole thing

WORST CASE SCENERIO "Nobless" 543 episodes with initial 50 episodes

493 "paid" episodes X 0.3 = $147.9 (disgusting) to buy the thing

*note: free episodes can range anywhere from 11 ~ 50 depending on the length of the webtoon. Beware that these calc are examples and it probably would cost more than what your wallet can take XD

Yeahhh. i dont need to explain. The money price creep is actually disgusting.

For a flawed system that forces the reader to pay; it sure takes and wants alot of money from you.

if the system or company wants money from you in a certain way to enjoy a certain service; they shouldn't commit daylight Robbery with the daily pass XD.

Daily pass is a flawed system. It makes Completed Manwhas look like dog doodos compared to ongoing ones.

It just hurting the reader and the reputation of the manwha which hurts the auther. The daily pass probably doesn't go 100% to the auther anyways and everyone is getting hurt b/c of the company's greed

Get rid of the "Two week" crunch time; dont worry people will still pay the coins b/c it doesn't change the fact that without coins it will take at least half a yr to finish 200 chp. Most Completed Manwhas are over 200 eps anyways.

lower the cost to 1 cent per episode or 10% because the cost is already disgusting for a forced paid system

Hope this post helped you and any disagreements is fine. Just keep it Civil, and any mistake in Calc just post below and ill fix it

August pagan feasts

Another pagan feast observed in August is Imbolc, which is celebrated in the southern hemisphere on August 1st or 2nd. Imbolc marks the halfway point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox, representing the first signs of spring and the return of the Sun's warmth. This feast is associated with the Celtic goddess Brigid, who is considered the patroness of healing, poetry, and smithcraft. Imbolc is a time for purification and new beginnings, and it is common to light candles and make offerings to Brigid. Additionally, August is associated with the festival of Hecate, an ancient Greek goddess of witchcraft, magic, and the moon. Hecate's Feast is typically observed on August 13th and honors the goddess by making offerings and performing rituals for protection, guidance, and transformation. Hecate is often depicted as a triple goddess, representing the maiden, mother, and crone, and her feast day is an opportunity to connect with these aspects of femininity and harness their power. Overall, August is a significant month for pagan feasts and celebrations. Lammas, Imbolc, and Hecate's Feast are just a few examples of the diverse range of practices and beliefs within pagan traditions. These feasts provide an opportunity to come together as a community, give thanks, and honor the deities associated with the cycles of nature and the changing seasons..
