I am also diabetic so I stopped going to the nail salon for pedicures years ago to avoid getting infections ,due to not really knowing if tools at salons are properly sanitized or getting cuts due to the tools being used. I d say after about 10 mins I used the side of a file and scraped the dead callus off shown in pic , I then scrubbed my foot with a mild soap and pumice stone.
