Yesterday, I attended the Magic Memories Plymouth meeting, and it was truly a memorable experience. The meeting started with a warm welcome from the host, followed by an introduction to the theme of the event - magic memories. The room was beautifully decorated with colorful lights, and the atmosphere was filled with excitement. The first speaker of the evening shared their magical memories from their childhood, taking us back to a time of wonder and imagination. It was heartwarming to hear stories of how magic had played a significant role in shaping their lives and bringing joy to their families. The speaker also emphasized the importance of holding on to these memories and passing them on to future generations.

For example, bathrooms and kitchens typically have higher levels of humidity than other rooms in the house, so it s best to steer clear of storing candles in those rooms. I have a pretty big collection of old Gurley candles (many of which you can see here on my Instagram feed) for all sorts of holidays – but these are my very first Gurley flower candles – and I am smitten. These little daffodils are perfect for spring!
I decided to put these little daffodils upstairs on my very favorite antique possum belly bakers table. I felt the that this little ‘moody area’ (with all the darker pieces including the old oil painting, the dark books, and the antique wooden pieces) really helped to make these really special Gurley flower candles to pop! The dark colors surrounding them really help to make the vibrant spring colors to stand out!

A Little Back Story: I have been collecting these for MANY years. I would buy them at estate sales or antique malls way before I was ever on social media. But, once I started sharing my passion for Gurley candles here online, I began getting tons of questions about them. I love that things that I have found and that I love spark interest in others.
