I liked my 183cm Faction Candide 5.0s better. The Magic Js were pretty stiff but the shape is still easy to ski. Candides were more balanced feeling and more versatile. Ended up selling the Magic Js locally after only a handful of days on them. Theyre great looking and seem well made/finished.

The iconic Scarface graphic is a throwback to the T-Hall Sig- nature Model from 2006 07, a vintage nod and another element of this modern classic brought back to life. The course itself is meticulously designed with attention to detail. Each hole is intricately crafted to provide a different challenge, ensuring that players never get bored. From navigating through tricky tunnels to avoiding obstacles such as sand traps and water hazards, visitors are faced with a variety of obstacles that test their skills and precision.

Thread: Armada Magic J unchanged? Similar Recs?

Jumped on a pair of 2021 Magic Js today (big cat across both skis top sheet) for the first time. Really liked just about everything about this ski for the conditions today lots of variable density PNW precip beat to shit by everybody and their brother. I might like a bit longer than my friends and hes trying to sell with Dukes which I dont need. Is the new Magic J same dimensions and construction? Whats a similar fairly heavy camber under foot with some stiffness but fat as, 127 or so, big rockered tips. Something that doesnt just suffer through the junk but fights back and makes getting back to the lift fun. Not going to hike with them at all.

And of course, these lit the soft untracked up, best float and control in deep snow Ive felt since OG Pontoons.

Looks like these have changed, seems Armada is experimenting with UL branding which I assume to mean "ultra light."

I liked the heft of the 2021 - no recs of a mustache rocker heavy super fat? Would be nice if I could find it cheap at the moment, unmounted, new. What about the new Pon200ns?

If you find a pair of Magic J's, keep in mind their weights are not necessarily consistent coming out of the factory. I have 2 pairs of 190cm that seem identical, except: One pair is 2368g, the other pair is 2546g (which is a noticeable weight difference).

If you're into 185cm lengths, the old Nordica Radict is much heavier (like 2790g).

Thanks for the response.

What's the difference between the two skis in each pair of your Magic J's? 200 grams seems like a pretty big discrepancy between two pairs branded the same, nearly half a pound. Curious if each ski in each pair is close to the other one in the set?

The 2 skis of my 2014 pair weigh 2439g & 2297g. That's ~6% difference between each other.

No idea if there were any intentional changes by Armada between 2014 and 2015. Also not sure how big the variation can be for the amount of epoxy that ends up in each ski (because I assume they just lather the epoxy onto each layer without measuring how much goes into each ski).

New UL Magic J is quoted as around 2 kg per ski.

Anyone else have any recommendations?

Heavy, side cut and camber under foot, fat?

This mini golf course was a complete disappointment. The carpets were worn out and torn in several places, and the obstacles were outdated and barely worked. The whole course looked neglected and poorly maintained. The staff was also unhelpful and unfriendly. Overall, it was a waste of time and money.

I had high hopes for Magic Carpet Mini Golf, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The course itself was lacking creativity and excitement. The holes were predictable and lacked any real challenge. The decorations were dull and seemed outdated. Additionally, the staff seemed disinterested and unenthusiastic. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun and engaging mini golf experience.

Magic Carpet Mini Golf was a disappointment. The entire course felt cramped and poorly designed. The layout was confusing, and it was difficult to navigate from hole to hole. The obstacles were old and worn, and there were no unique features to keep the game interesting. Additionally, the lighting was dim, making it hard to see the holes and obstacles. Overall, it was an underwhelming experience that I wouldn't recommend to others.

Magic Carpet Mini Golf was just an average experience for me. The course itself was decently maintained, but it lacked any wow factor. The obstacles felt generic, and the holes were not very challenging. The staff was polite, but not particularly engaging or enthusiastic. It was an okay way to kill some time, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this mini golf course again.

Magic Carpet Mini Golf was a letdown. The course was overcrowded and poorly designed. There was no flow to the course, and the holes were not well-maintained. Additionally, the price was too high for the quality of the experience. I was hoping for a fun and unique mini golf experience, but this place didn't deliver. I would recommend looking for a different mini golf course in the area.
