The Wiccan religion, also known as modern witchcraft, follows the cycles of nature and celebrates the changing seasons. Wiccans hold eight major festivals throughout the year, known as Sabbats. One of these Sabbats is celebrated in the month of June, known as Midsummer or Litha. Midsummer is a celebration of the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. It is a time to honor the sun and its life-giving energy. Wiccans believe that during this time, the veil between the physical and spiritual worlds is thin, allowing for easier communication with spirits and deities.

The prank effectively sees the stuntman acting as barista who accidentally spills coffee all over a woman's laptop.

The word witch conjures so many different images, but we all basically know it means someone who practices magic and is in tune with the cycles of nature although IRL, a broomstick is not a main mode of transportation and pointy hats are not required. There s a strong line of mysticism and healing in my family, and my mom informed the foundation of my beliefs she doesn t define herself as a witch, but she exhibits all the signs of one.

Wiccans believe that during this time, the veil between the physical and spiritual worlds is thin, allowing for easier communication with spirits and deities. The celebrations often begin on the evening of June 20th and continue into the next day. Wiccans gather in outdoor spaces, such as gardens or forests, to connect with nature and perform rituals.

The whole prank first came about as a clever and very outside-the-box way of promoting the new Carrie flick remake with a little bit of spice.

Studio marketers for the film commissioned the elaborate stunt which took place at a New York City coffee shop of all places.

Almost the entire place was previously set up by the pranksters, including a 'fake wall' being erected slap-bang in the middle of the joint with a pulley system was then attached to it. Tables and chairs were designed to be 'remote controlled' while pictures and books were 'spring loaded'.

Actors were then seated inside as a whole bunch of hidden cameras were dotted about the shop to be sure to capture every single reaction.

Oh yeah - and they also enlisted the help of a very convincing stuntman.

The video uploaded to YouTube begins with the overlay text: "Time to f*** with some customers."

And that they did.

The prank effectively sees the stuntman acting as barista who accidentally spills coffee all over a woman's laptop.

Naturally, the irate woman then uses her 'telekinetic' powers in a frenzied fit of rage to throw him up against the wall without even touching him.

It's fair to say that people absolutely lost their sh*t.

The video's description reads: "What if telekinesis was real? How would you react? Our hidden camera experiment captures the reactions of unsuspecting customers at a New York City coffee shop as they witness a telekinetic event."

It has since on to clock up more than a staggering 79 million views and nearly 40,000 comments since it was first uploaded back in 2013 - it's clear people couldn't wait to share their reactions.

One YouTube user declared: "This is probably the most authentic camera prank ever done in history of pranks."

"Honestly, coming back to this eight years after the last time I watched it, it still remains the single greatest prank ever pulled," penned another.

A third commented: "I revisit this video at least once a year and just applaud everyone who worked on this.

"They executed everything perfectly and the genuine reactions of the people in attendance just puts the cherry on top."

On one clip, which was reposted to Twitter, one person hailed the stunt as: "One of the best pranks I’ve ever seen… I know these people were about to have a heart attack."

A second dubbed it the 'world's best crafted camera prank'.

"That was the best prank I've ever seen," echoed a final social media user.

I wonder if it will ever be topped? Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Bonfires are a common feature of Midsummer celebrations, symbolizing the power and energy of the sun. During the festivities, Wiccans may practice divination, cast spells, or perform rituals to honor deities associated with the sun and fertility. They may also engage in traditional activities such as dancing, singing, and feasting. Midsummer is seen as a time of joy, abundance, and growth, and Wiccans strive to embody these qualities during the celebration. In addition to honoring the sun, Midsummer is also a time to celebrate the bountiful harvest that will follow in the coming months. It marks the peak of the growing season, and Wiccans give thanks for the abundance of food and resources that nature provides. Overall, the June Wiccan celebration of Midsummer is a time for Wiccans to connect with nature, honor the sun and its life-giving energy, and celebrate the abundance and growth of the summer season. It is a time of joy, magic, and spiritual connection with the natural world..
