Ariana Grande Got a Wicked Tattoo to Commemorate Her Era as Galinda

While filming for the upcoming live adaptation of Wicked may be on pause due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, Ariana Grande still has Galinda/Glinda on the brain. In a new interview with Allure, the star revealed a fresh new hand tattoo of the iconic Good Witch. Ariana Grande, who plays the character in the movie version of the beloved Broadway musical, even uses "Galinda" as her Zoom name, so it's not at all surprising that she'd get a permanent memento of the witch on her body.

When asked about her tattoo planning, Grande shared that she's pretty impulsive about her ink. "That's hard because when they come to me, I just get them," she explained. "This one I knew I wanted to get for a very long time," she then admitted, revealing her new Wicked tattoo. The Glinda tattoo in question is tatted on the back of her right hand and is inspired by the character from L. Frank Baum's original The Wonderful Wizard of Oz book.

“I waited forever to fill up this hand. And I thought, 'I'm gonna wait for the right thing to come along,' and yeah, that felt very right,” Grande elaborated about her Glinda tat. (She often uses tattoos to mark special moments in her life, and she has a plethora of ink on her body, including quotes, butterflies, and even a Pokémon.)

The tattoo must be relatively fresh because she did not have it during her appearance at Wimbledon in July. We haven't seen a photo of it yet, but we'll keep our eyes peeled at all Grande-related content in the coming weeks because it sounds adorable.

Ariana Grande Reveals She Got Glinda Tattoo After Starting Romance With ‘Wicked’ Co-Star Ethan Slater

Ariana Grande, 30, revealed she got a new tattoo, in an interview with Allure. The singer’s new ink, which is one of many tattoos she has, is Glinda the Good Witch from the original Wizard of Oz book, and it’s something she’s wanted to get for a while. “When they come to me, I just get them,” she told the outlet about her tattoos. “This one I knew I wanted to get for a very long time.”

Ariana showed the “most recent” tattoo, which is located on the back of her right hand, to the interviewer and said, “It’s Glinda from the original L. Frank Baum book.”

“I waited forever to fill up this hand,” she continued. “I thought, ‘I’m gonna wait for the right thing to come along,’ and yeah, that felt very right.”

Ariana’s new tattoo is not too surprising considering she plays Glinda the Good Witch in the upcoming Wicked movie, which she co-starred in with reported new boyfriend, Ethan Slater. The actor, 31, who is best known for playing the title role in the Spongebob Squarepants musical, plays the role of Boq, in the highly anticipated film, which is set to be released next year. The young stars’ romance was first reported in July, amid reports that Ariana and her husband Dalton Gomez split. It was also later reported that Ethan had filed for divorce from his wife of five years, Lilly Jay.

When Ariana’s not making headlines for her tattoos and love life, she’s doing so for her career. The “Love Me Harder” crooner reportedly split from her manager Scooter Braun, whom she started working with in 2013. Puck‘s Matthew Belloni took to Twitter to share the news just hours after Variety reported that Demi Lovato has done the same. “NEWS: Ariana Grande has parted ways with Scooter Braun as her manager,” Matthew wrote in the post. Ariana has yet to confirm the report, but Scooter seemed to poke fun at the news in his own tweet, around the same time the split went public. “Breaking news… I’m no longer managing myself,” he wrote.

Ariana Grande is not only playing Glinda the Good Witch in the upcoming film adaptation of Wicked, she’s also showing love for the character in a permanent way.

The actress, 30, revealed in a new interview with Allure that she recently got a tattoo of Glinda — the golden-haired saintly witch in a pink dress — on the back of her right hand.

“It's Glinda from the original L. Frank Baum book,” she told the outlet when asked about plans for any upcoming tattoos before revealing that she'd actually just gotten one done. “I waited forever to fill up this hand. And I thought, ‘I'm gonna wait for the right thing to come along,’ and yeah, that felt very right.”

The actress spoke to Allure to celebrate the announcement of her brand r.e.m. beauty's newest release, Sweetener Foundation (out Thursday). She even teased a few months back that her brand may be getting its own moment in the spotlight in Wicked.

Grande answered questions from her fans in a YouTube in April, where she showed off her favorite r.em. beauty products. The video was a celebration of her brand’s one-year anniversary of availability at Ulta stores.

The singer revealed a lot of exciting things in her interview, such as teasing new products and sharing what she was most proud of. But what really got viewers thrilled was her answer to a question about her upcoming film.

A fan wanted to know if Grande used r.e.m. beauty on set — and Grande spilled the beans about her makeup in the movie, which will be released next year (part two will come later). She indeed said that she wore r.e.m. beauty products in the film.

"Glinda wears a few things," Grande shared. "I told my beautiful makeup artist, Nuria, who I love with all my heart, I said, 'I don't want to go into this with any sort of rules or requests; I want us to find her from the ground up. I want to just sit down and let you play and we'll find her together.'"

She continued, "I just wanted to be a new girl and find Glinda with her."

Grande’s makeup artist was open to using r.e.m. beauty, telling her that the products were "beautiful."

"I will tell you later," Grande added, not wanting to reveal any more information.

Grande also showed off her skills and created a perfect winged liner on her eyes, pointing out how her eyelid veins form a heart shape when she is bare-faced. She easily drew one eye on and asked fans to send good vibes for the other eye, but she didn’t need them, because she nailed it.

Reviews for "How to Extend the Life of Your Bath and Body Works Witch Hand Soap with a Soap Holder"

- Emily - 2 stars - I was really excited to try out this soap holder for my Bath and Body Works witch hand soap, but unfortunately I was very disappointed. The holder itself is not very sturdy and constantly falls off the wall in my shower. The suction cups do not hold up well at all. Additionally, the size of the holder is too small for the soap, causing it to slip out and fall into the shower. Overall, it's just not a practical or reliable soap holder for this particular soap.
- Jessica - 1 star - I regret purchasing this soap holder for my Bath and Body Works witch hand soap. The design is cute, but the functionality is terrible. The suction cups do not adhere well to my shower wall and the soap constantly falls off. Not to mention, the holder is quite flimsy and feels like it could break easily. It's just not worth the money for such a poorly made product.
- Sarah - 2 stars - I bought this soap holder specifically for my Bath and Body Works witch hand soap, but it ended up being a waste of money. The suction cups do not stick well to my shower tile and the soap constantly falls off. It's frustrating and inconvenient. The holder itself also feels cheaply made and not very durable. I would not recommend this product to others.
